A local presence without an office

Customers pick up, call back and trust numbers from their own area. A local number — a London 020, a Paris 01, a Miami 305 — gives your business that familiarity in every market you sell to, without opening an office or signing a telecom contract.

Selling to a whole country rather than one city? A national number is tied to no area: a UK-wide 03 number costs callers the same as a geographic call, French 09 numbers belong to no region, and Dutch 085 and 088 numbers read as nationwide business lines. Denmark has no area codes at all, so every Danish number is national by design.

Each number can ring you directly, or plug into the phone system: business hours, a menu in several languages, a queue for support, voicemail transcribed to Telegram. Add numbers in other countries to the same account and route them all through one call flow.

Local and national numbers are voice-first. Texting depends on the number: each one shows whether it can send and receive texts before you pay. For verification codes from apps and banks, take a mobile number.

Questions

Local & national numbers: questions

All questions & answers

What is a national number?

A number that belongs to the whole country rather than one city: UK-wide 03 numbers, French 09 numbers, Dutch 085 and 088 numbers, and every Danish number, since Denmark has no area codes. Calling one costs no more than calling a regular landline in that country.

Can a local or national number receive text messages?

Some can, some are voice-only — it depends on the country and the range. Every number shows its text capability before you pay, so there are no surprises.

Do I need a company or an address in that country?

No. We never ask for company documents or proof of address. You pay from your crypto balance, and the number is live the moment you pay.

Can my whole team answer the same number?

Yes. Connect the number to the phone system and it can ring a group, a queue or specific extensions — unlimited extensions, with no fee per user.

Can I keep my number if my business grows?

Of course. Prices are locked for as long as you keep the number, and you can move it to another Numonym account with a transfer code if the business changes hands.
