Paying without an app store

MySudo plans are bought through the App Store or Google Play, so the subscription sits in an account tied to your card and your name. Numonym only takes crypto — Monero if you want the payment itself to stay private — and needs no app store at all.

UK numbers without an ID check

MySudo asks for a one-time identity verification before it gives you a UK number. Numonym never asks for ID, in any country: UK mobile, London and UK-wide 03 numbers included.

Numbers that get the code

Sudo numbers are internet (VoIP) numbers, and many apps refuse VoIP ranges for sign-up codes. Numonym real mobile numbers sit in carrier mobile ranges, in all 12 countries. VoIP or real mobile?

What MySudo does better

If one of these matters most to you, MySudo is the better pick.

  • Whole identities

Each Sudo has its own email address, browser and cards, not just a number. Numonym sells phone numbers only.

  • A cheap first number

SudoGo gives you one number for $1.99 a month. Numonym numbers start at $4 a month, plus a one-time $15 activation.

  • Native apps

MySudo’s apps for iOS and Android. Numonym runs in the browser and in any SIP app.

Switching

Moving from MySudo to Numonym

Keep the old number until everything points to the new one.

How it works
  1. Get your number

Create an account with a password, top up in crypto and pick a number in any of 12 countries.

  2. Move your logins

Change the phone number on your 2FA and recovery settings while you still receive codes on the old one.

  3. Tell your contacts

Send the new number from the old one, or share a username on apps that support it.

  4. Let the old one go

Once nothing points to it any more, cancel the old line. Your new number stays yours as long as you renew.
