A number that can answer back
Silent.link states that its US numbers receive texts only — outbound texts are not allowed — and that regular mobile voice calls aren’t provided. That works for collecting one-way codes, not for a line people can call or text back.
Every Numonym number sends and receives texts and makes and receives calls, in the browser, in any SIP app, with transcribed voicemail and forwarding to Telegram, email or a webhook.
Numbers outside the US
Silent.link’s numbers are American. Numonym has real mobile numbers in 12 countries — the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Spain, Poland, Sweden, Denmark, Canada, Mexico and Brazil as well as the US.
Data from one, numbers from the other
The two don’t compete on everything: Numonym sells no mobile data. A Numonym number works over any connection — Wi-Fi, your current SIM, or a data eSIM such as Silent.link — so many privacy-minded people use both.
Fair is fair

Can Silent.link numbers send texts?
No. Silent.link states that its US numbers receive texts only, with outbound texts not allowed, and that regular mobile voice calls aren’t provided. Numonym numbers send and receive texts and calls.
Does Numonym sell eSIM data?
No. Numonym rents phone numbers you use over any connection — Wi-Fi, your current SIM’s data, or a data eSIM such as Silent.link.
Which one is more private?
Both take crypto and ask for no email or ID. Silent.link needs no account at all; Numonym uses a random 16-digit account number so you can renew, top up and read your texts — and its web logs keep no IP addresses.
